 The Mega Bead Filters have a high intake capacity and are equiped with a double fan with curved blades, this results in better distribution and circulation of the water.
The filters are equiped with automatic ventilation valves and pressure guages. This gives you a better insight into the contamination of the system.
Thanks to the larger beads, the system experiences less resistance during backwashing. This makes it possible to use a second pump with a lower capacity, substantially reducing the power consumption.
There are two sizes of filter available:
The Mega Bead 600 is a 26 inch body with 1.5ins valve
It has a maximum pond capacity of 38,000 litres/8350 Gals with 120 litres of beads.
The Mega Bead 800 is a 33 inch body with 2ins valve
It has a maximum pond capacity of 95,000 litres/20,850 Gals with 200 litres of beads
Recommended pumps for these filters are:
Mega Bead 650: 1 hp pump for backwashing and daily operation.
Additional pump for reduced cost daily operation can be a 0.5hp pump
Mega Bead 800: 2 hp pump for backwashing and daily operation.
Additional pump for reduced cost daily operation can be a 0.75hp pump
