· Saves water through reducing backwashing ….. up to as much as 19,000 litres per year!! (This is based on a 20m3/hr pump and backwashing / rinsing for approx 3 ½ minutes twice a month and still taking into account that some backwashing may still be required depending upon the installation).
· The MultiCyclone is ideal as a pre-filter and will extend the life of any existing filter. It works together with sand, diatomaceous earth or cartridge filters, fitting between the pump and the existing filter.

Unnecessary service calls are greatly reduced as a result of a “dirty” filter that was responsible for poor flow and a reduction in pressure within the system.
· In salt water pools a large percentage of salt is lost through the backwashing process and with the growing popularity of salt water chlorinators in the market the need for constant topping up of salt is therefore greatly reduced.
· 2 year full product warranty against manufacturing defects. · On average only 15 litres of water is discharged to clean the MultiCyclone of sediment.
· The discharge line can be either plumbed into the waste line of the filter or emptied into a domestic bucket and then simply emptied on the garden.

Applications
Since the introduction of the MultiCyclone we have found that it caters for many more markets than just the swimming pool industry. Recent installations have included the following (not to mention dog washes and horse training pools!!) and all with fantastic results:
Cooling Towers
The MultiCyclone combined with an automated filtration skid. The MultiCyclone used in conjunction with a Waterco Trimline bag filter (TBF) / Trimline cartridge filter – reduces filter maintenance, reduces loss of cooling water and drastically reduces the loss of chemicals.
Koi Ponds
Installed prior to a bead filter as a sediment removal system to reduce backwashing and loss of pond water or directly afterwards to act as an inline “polishing” unit
Commercial swimming pools
Used as a pre filter to commercial filters – large savings in water and loss of chemicals.
The Portable Vacuum System
The MultiCyclone combined with a pump and cartridge filter plumbed on a mobile filter system with vacuum and hose. The MultiCyclone will help to reduce filter maintenance and costly filter replacement for the service technician.
Aquaculture, shell fish
Helps to remove sand and sediment from aquaculture water.
Water recycling systems
